When a chef becomes a wine maker

Boronia Kitchen is thrilled to be collaborating with Chef Joshua Mason and his very own wine label ‘Ciel Wines’.

With a refined palate and appreciation for the synergy between food and wine, it was a natural transition for Chef Mason to shift from kitchen to vineyard.

For one night only, he will be joining forces with our very own Simon Sandall for canapés, 4 courses and 5 matching Ciel Wines.

Paired with 2024 “The Hostess” Rosé, Barossa Valley

COURSE 1

Abalone, ginger and dashi broth

Paired with 2025 “Amuse Bouche” Pinot Gris, Eden Valley

Course 2

Yellowfin tuna, lemon aspen and anchovy dressing

Paired with 2023 “Beurre Blanc” Chardonnay, Adelaide Hills

course 3

Pan fried kingfish, braised oxtail, béarnaise sauce

Paired with 2023 “The Head Chef” Shiraz, Barossa Valley

course 4

Peach cobbler, Jersey milk ice cream  

Paired with 2024 “The Apprentice” Riesling, Eden Valley
